Heythrop, one
of the oldest Colleges within the University of London, is a
specialist College of Theology, Philosophy and Psychology. Like
most of the colleges at Britain's oldest universities, Heythrop
was originally a religious foundation, set up in 1614 by the
Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) to train its own members. It
received its Royal Charter as a College of the University of
