You do not have to come to London to take your examinations.
Examinations are held once a year in local overseas centres
around the world as well as in London. Examinations overseas
are arranged mainly through Ministries of Education or the
British Council. You will be charged a fee by your local
examination centre (this fee will vary). Examinations are
held once a year, usually in May.
Classification: Undergraduate degrees are awarded with
First Class Honours, Upper Second Class Honours, Lower Second
Class Honours or Third Class Honours. If you do not qualify
for Honours, you may be awarded a Pass classification.
The standard of the examination for degrees is the same
as that for students studying at a College of the University.
When
you register as an External student you are not automatically
entered for your examinations. These are separate procedures
and you have to apply to enter. The Regulations, which you
are sent as part of your study package, will tell you how
and when to do this. The University will send you the Regulations when give you an offer of registration and every year after that
when the University receive your continuing registration fee.
