BA Spanish and Latin American Studies
Who
is it for?
The programme combines study of the Spanish
language with that of aspects of Spanish and Latin American culture from
the medieval period to the present day.
Particular attention is paid to the ways in
which different cultural forms relate to their historical context.
Some of the units include art, film, and
political and historical writing alongside literary texts.
Emphasis is also placed on ways of reading
texts, in order to develop students' analytical and critical skills.
